This is what I make when I have a hankering for cinnamon toast or apple pie, but I don’t want to get tangled up with bread or pie crust. And this could not be simpler.
1. Cut up an organic Granny Smith apple into smallish chunks. Melt some butter in a small sauté pan over medium-low heat and toss in the apple. Add a small handful of raw almonds. Pecans or walnuts are great too.
2. Stir until the apple begins to soften, and sprinkle liberally with cinnamon. Cook until the apple is done to your taste, and eat promptly! Yum.
